There is a lovely book made about Michael in 2010. It surveys his work from the 1970s to 2005. It contains two very interesting articles and a collection of over 60 images from his work. Ray Mackenzies’ article ‘Michael Scott and the Riddle of Cubism’ examines how Cubism remained a crucial lodestone for his work; Tom Normand’s article ‘Michael Scott: Epiphanies and Dream States’ examines the themes in Michael’s work – hope, foolishness, tragedy, redemption – and shows how the mature work reflects the fullest expression of an artist in command of his metier.
